Early Childhood Alliance Holds Country Garden Tea Party

Sunday, May 18, 2008

"Come along inside...We'll see if tea and buns can make the world a better place." — The Wind in the Willow

Early Childhood Alliance is raising funds to support programs for young children and families through a new annual event.  Last year, over $11,000 was raised at the “Victorian Royal Tea” to help enable low income families with young children to participate in quality early care and education in our child care centers.

This year, a “Country Garden Tea” was held on the afternoons of May 16 and May 17, 2008, where approximately 35 women each day "sit and sipped" the afternoon away at a lovely home in the country. Hostess was Susanne Moorman-Rowe.

In addition to Emley Design Group, other sponsors for the two-day event included Indiana Michigan Power and Star Financial Bank. Different teas were served with each of the three-course luncheon, with food catered by Catablu and Elegant Beginnings.
